A client needed a mobile first web application e-commerce site for high end nordic designer furnishings. With a limited timeline and limited budget to work with, my deliverables were limited to one revision after approval of UI guidelines and imagery.
The total timeline to complete a final handoff working prototype was just under 2 weeks.
As any UX designer can easily see... this isn't exactly a pixel perfect design by any means. The limited budget and communication delays with the client made for an incomplete final design in my personal opinion, but he was satisfied enough given the constraints we faced.
1. There wasn't a budget for a browser version, so this web-app can only be target to mobile/social advertising. Although this was the main objective, I'd prefer to have fully responsive designs for any web-app for the few users that may bookmark the page to open on a desktop or iPad Pro for further browsing.
2. There are issues with the user flow, I suggested starting with a simple homepage that would include a hero discount banner and have consistent navigation throughout so they can always find a full product gallery - with targeted landing pages for designing spaces being secondary. The client disagreed, and we compromised with the final design a room setup rather than browse by categories being the focal point.
3. Not all of the required pages legal copy for GDPR and Refund/Exchange policies were ready within the allotted timeframe, so those pages and links will have to be added before advertising can begin to go-live.
